The Philippine Coast Guard Foundation (PCGF) marked another milestone with the blessing of its newly constructed building at Coast Guard Base Taguig. The event, held on 0900H 03 December 2024, was graced by distinguished guests and Coast Guard leaders, reflecting the strong support for the foundation’s mission to uplift the welfare of Coast Guard personnel and their families.
Rear Admiral Edgar L. Ybañez PCG, Deputy Commandant for Administration, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, delivering an inspiring message that underscored the importance of this new facility in advancing the foundation’s initiatives. He highlighted how the building symbolizes the collective commitment to service and excellence within the Philippine Coast Guard community.
Also present was Vice Admiral Robert N. Patrimonio PCG, Commander of the Maritime Security and Law Enforcement Command, who emphasized the pivotal role of partnerships and infrastructure in strengthening the Coast Guard’s capacity to fulfill its mandate.
Commodore Christopher D. Auro PCG, Commander of the Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao and President of the PCG Foundation, led the foundation’s delegation. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to making the new building a reality, noting that it serves as a beacon of hope and progress for the Coast Guard and the communities it serves.
The event featured a solemn blessing followed by a ribbon-cutting and a guided tour of the new facility. Attendees were treated to a warm reception and fellowship, celebrating this significant achievement.
This new facility is expected to serve as a hub for the foundation’s operations, facilitating its programs in support of healthcare, education, and community services for Coast Guard personnel and their families. It also stands as a testament to the enduring dedication and collaboration of the PCGF, its stakeholders, and the broader Coast Guard community.
