In a significant step towards enhancing humanitarian service initiatives, the Philippine Coast Guard Foundation held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new foundation building on March 27, 2024. The event, which took place at 1600H on Wednesday, marked the beginning of a new chapter for the organization.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Vice Admiral Robert N Patrimonio, Commander of the Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command, who delivered the keynote address. Rear Admiral Allen J Dalangin, Deputy Commander of HMARSLEC, was the guest of honor, highlighting the importance of the event for the maritime community.

The Board of Trustees, including CG Capt Christopher D Auro (President), CG Capt Eric Ferrancullo (Vice President), CG Capt Laurel Paul Mariano Jr (Secretary), and CG Capt Marlowe Acevedo (Internal Auditor), were in attendance, demonstrating their commitment to the project. 

The event also welcomed special guests from various sectors, including VIMIDEI Ventures Corporation, MVST International Consumer Trading, PharmaSave, and Executive Chic Atelier showcasing the wide-ranging support for the Philippine Coast Guard’s projects.

The new building is expected to bolster the organization in providing a modern facility to support their vital work. This development comes at a crucial time as the region faces diverse maritime challenges, and the foundation’s commitment to excellence and security is more important than ever helping the coast guard active personnel, retirees and dependents.

With the foundation laid, the Philippine Coast Guard Foundation looks forward to the completion of the building, which promises to be a cornerstone of maritime excellence “Anchored in Hope, Sailing for Humanity.”
