Philippine Coast Guard Foundation – National Heroes Day Tribute

August 25, 2025 – On National Heroes Day, the Philippine Coast Guard Foundation pays solemn tribute to the men and women of the Philippine Coast Guard — officers, non-officers, civilian personnel, retirees, and volunteers — whose steadfast service has safeguarded our nation’s waters and protected the lives of countless Filipinos.

In every sunrise over the archipelago, there are heroes in uniform — and in spirit — standing watch. They are the quiet sentinels on our shorelines, the first responders to maritime distress calls, the guardians of maritime law, and the compassionate hands extended to those in peril.

National Heroes Day reminds us that heroism is not confined to history books. It lives in the daily courage of our Coast Guard personnel who face storms to bring fishermen home, who protect our seas from environmental harm, who uphold maritime sovereignty with dignity, and who serve with honor beyond the call of duty.

We honor our officers whose leadership charts the course for safety and security… our non-officers whose unwavering discipline keeps operations steady in the most challenging conditions… our retirees whose decades of service built the strong institution we have today… and our volunteers, whose generosity of time and skill prove that heroism is a choice, not a rank.

The Philippine Coast Guard is more than an organization — it is a living testament to sacrifice and service. Every mission completed, every life saved, and every wave overcome speaks of the quiet valor that defines our maritime protectors.

On this day of remembrance, we invite all Filipinos to look toward our seas with renewed gratitude. The courage of our Coast Guard community ensures that the nation’s maritime lifelines remain open, safe, and free.

To our heroes in white, past and present: Mabuhay kayo. Ang inyong kabayanihan ay patuloy na sumisikò at nagbibigay-liwanag sa bayang mahal natin.
