The Philippine Coast Guard Foundation, under the leadership of Commodore Christopher D. Auro PCG, Commander of the Coast Guard District Southern Visayas and President of the Foundation, celebrates Family Day 2025 with the theme “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” on September 21, 2025.

The celebration highlighted the enduring truth that the strength of the nation begins at home. In his message, Commodore Auro emphasized that family meals are more than just nourishment—they are moments of unity, gratitude, and love that bind generations together.

“As we celebrate Family Day, may we continue to honor the values of care, respect, and togetherness that build our homes and our service to the nation. The Philippine Coast Guard Foundation stands with every Filipino family in affirming that indeed, the family is our greatest treasure,” he said.

Family Day 2025 served as a reminder that the values nurtured within the Filipino household—care, respect, and togetherness—are the same values that sustain the nation’s guardians in their service. By honoring the family, the Philippine Coast Guard Foundation reaffirms its commitment not only to maritime safety and security but also to the deeper mission of nation-building through strong, united families.
