The Philippine Coast Guard Foundation (PCGF) proudly held the blessing of its new building at Coast Guard Base Taguig on 0900H 03 December 2024, an event graced by the Deputy Commandant for Administration, Rear Admiral Edgar L. Ybañez PCG, as Guest of Honor and Speaker. This significant occasion highlighted the foundation’s dedication to enhancing its support for Coast Guard personnel, their families, and the broader community.
In his speech, Rear Admiral Ybañez commended the efforts of the PCGF and its leadership in realizing the project, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in fortifying the welfare and morale of Coast Guard members. He noted that the new building represents a vital step forward in providing better services and fostering stronger partnerships for the benefit of the Coast Guard community.
The event was also attended by other esteemed Coast Guard leaders, including Vice Admiral Robert N. Patrimonio PCG, Commander of the Maritime Security and Law Enforcement Command, who underscored the role of collaboration in achieving meaningful progress. Commodore Christopher D. Auro PCG, Commander of the Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao and President of the PCG Foundation, expressed his gratitude to all who supported the project, affirming the foundation’s commitment to its mission.
The blessing ceremony was followed by a ribbon-cutting led by Rear Admiral Ybañez, along with a tour of the new facility. Attendees celebrated the occasion with fellowship, reflecting on the collective effort that brought this project to fruition.
This new PCGF building is poised to serve as a central hub for the foundation’s programs, aimed at improving healthcare, education, and community services for Coast Guard personnel and their families.
